(WHAT IT'S ABOUT)

Anyone can buy more traffic. Conversion rate optimization gets more out of the visitors you already have: we analyze user behavior, form hypotheses and validate them with A/B tests: until the same visitors produce measurably more inquiries and revenue.

Conversion rate optimization (CRO) is the systematic improvement of a website so that more visitors complete a desired action, such as an inquiry or a purchase. It is grounded in user data, prioritized hypotheses and controlled A/B tests instead of gut feeling.

Our approach.

(HOW WE APPROACH IT)
01

Data over opinion

Heatmaps, session recordings and funnel analyses show where visitors actually drop off, not where you assume they do.

02

Prioritized hypotheses

Every change idea is scored by effort and expected leverage. We test what promises the biggest effect.

03

Testing done right

A/B tests with sufficient sample sizes and clear success criteria. So an uplift is an uplift, not noise.

04

Scaling the learnings

Winning tests roll out to more pages, channels and campaigns. Every result compounds.

In detail.

05

What conversion rate optimization covers

Conversion optimization is often reduced to button colors, in reality it works on three levels. Level one: clarity. Do visitors grasp within seconds what you offer, for whom, and what the next step is? More websites fail at this hurdle than at any form. Level two: trust. Prices, references, real photos, clear processes: uncertainty is the biggest conversion killer, especially for services that need explaining. Level three: friction. Every unnecessary form field, every unclear intermediate step, every second of load time measurably costs completions. A CRO program works all three levels systematically: user research shows where things jam; hypotheses prioritize what to change; A/B tests prove whether the change works. That is what separates conversion rate optimization from redesign by taste, in the end, it is not opinions that decide but the behavior of your real visitors.

06

From user research to test hypothesis

Good hypotheses come from data, not from brainstorming sessions. We combine four sources for that. Funnel analyses show at which step how many visitors leave. The where. Heatmaps and session recordings show what visitors do on those pages: where they click, how far they scroll, where they hesitate. The how. Surveys and user tests deliver the why: the objections, questions and misunderstandings no analytics tool captures. And your sales team knows the objections from every customer conversation: a source almost every CRO agency ignores. From these observations we formulate hypotheses in a fixed pattern: if we change X, Y will rise, because Z. Every hypothesis gets a priority from expected leverage and implementation effort. Testing proceeds from the top down, not by the volume of internal opinions.

07

A/B testing: testing properly instead of guessing

An A/B test compares two variants of a page on real visitors: half see version A, half version B, and conversion is measured. Sounds simple, gets done wrong regularly. For a result to hold, three things are required: a sufficient sample, hence our rule of thumb of around 10,000 monthly visitors; a success metric defined in advance, so nobody goes hunting afterwards for whichever number happened to rise; and a fixed runtime over full weeks, because Tuesday visitors buy differently than Sunday visitors. Tests stopped at the first green spike produce phantom winners. The classic among CRO mistakes. Lost tests, by the way, are not failures: they prevent a harmful change from going live, and they sharpen the picture of what actually moves your visitors.

08

The most common CRO mistakes

Mistake one: copying best practices. What works for a competitor can lose on your site: different audience, different trust level, different price point. So test instead of adopt. Mistake two: testing changes that are too small. Testing button colors on low traffic means waiting months for noise; bigger levers like page structure, offer and opening deliver measurable differences. Mistake three: stopping tests too early. The first green day is not a result. Mistake four: measuring only the conversion rate. A change that brings more but worse inquiries is no win; we therefore measure through to lead quality. Mistake five: treating CRO as a project instead of a process. A single optimization pass fades; the effect comes from the cycle of analysis, test and learning: month after month, with compound interest on every insight gained.

09

How a CRO program runs, and how long it takes

Month one: the conversion audit. We analyze the funnel, tracking quality and user behavior, set up missing measurement points and build the hypothesis backlog: prioritized by leverage and effort. Obvious friction we fix immediately, without a test; not every broken mobile navigation needs an experiment. From month two, testing begins: typically one to three tests in parallel, depending on traffic. Every test runs over full weeks until the sample holds; you see first results after 4–6 weeks. Winners go live and roll out to similar pages; losers get documented. That too is a learning. From month three the rhythm sets in: test, evaluate, follow up. The effect compounds, because every winning test raises the baseline for all that follow. Monthly you receive the uplift record: what was tested, what it delivered, what comes next.

(PROBLEMS WE SOLVE)
(01)

Lots of traffic, few inquiries

Somewhere between arrival and inquiry you lose visitors. We find the spot, with data, not opinions.

(02)

Redesigns by gut feeling

The prettiest page is worthless if it converts worse. We test changes before they go live.

(03)

Ads get pricier, margins shrink

Only a better conversion rate offsets rising click prices. CRO lowers your effective cost per inquiry.

(FAQ)

Common
questions.

  • From roughly 10,000 visitors per month, A/B tests can be evaluated reliably. Below that we work with user research and best-practice optimization.

  • A conversion audit starts at €3,000, ongoing CRO from €1,000 per month. The uplift typically pays for the program several times over.

  • First test results after 4–6 weeks. CRO is a continuous process. The effect compounds with every winning test.

  • There is no universal number: industry, traffic source and price level shift the baseline massively. A shop selling impulse purchases plays in a different league than a B2B provider with six-figure projects. More useful than benchmarks: measure your own rate and raise it systematically.

  • At least two full weeks, usually two to four: until the sample is reliable. Running tests over full weeks is mandatory, because visitor behavior differs by weekday. Stop earlier and you will regularly celebrate phantom winners.

  • Yes, for lead generation the leverage is often bigger. For service businesses, every additional qualified inquiry translates into real revenue, and the conversion paths are shorter: homepage, service page, contact. The methods are the same, analysis, hypothesis, test.
